The Florentine December 2025

In airplane mode: Florence through the five senses TOUCH In front of an old Florentine wall, leave your phone in your pocket. Rest your hand on the stone, weathered, solid, shaped by centuries of Florentine life. Feel its texture, its quiet endurance. Sometimes the best way to meet the city is to touch its history,…

The forgotten thank you

I’ve noticed that we’re slowly losing a beautiful habit. When someone invites us for dinner, a coffee, or a simple lunch, we less and less take the time the next day to write and say thank you. Not out of rudeness, but because life moves fast.We rush to the next thing, the next meeting, the…

The Florentine November 2025

In airplane mode: Florence through the five senses SIGHT At Piazzale Michelangelo, resist the reflex to film. Take a few quiet minutes, just you and the view. Let your eyes hunt for details you’d normally miss. Look with your eyes, not your camera. The memory will last longer.

On this symbolic March 8

I have a dream…
That women receive the same wages as men that women take their courage in both hands when it comes to negotiating their salary that women clearly and calmly ask their partner and children to get help at home that women stop presenting themselves as simple sexual objects but live their femininity to the full that there is a deep solidarity between each woman that girls in some families have access to education like boys

I have a dream

that women can simply be themselves.
